Danica is a seasoned therapist with a wide and deep understanding of how to come alongside and help hold what brings her clients into therapy.  Naturally curious, easily relatable, and attuned to the emotional needs of her clients, she specializes in treating trauma, depression and anxiety, transitions in life, relationship issues, stress, women's issues, spiritual concerns, abuse, divorce, and identity formation. An active and engaged therapist, Danica is trained in a proven and effective trauma treatment called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as  Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). EFT is a form of fingertip acupressure that uses pressure points to help lower physical and emotional pain stored in the nervous system.  Danica's warmth and compassion sets the stage for her knowledge and training to bring meaningful and lasting change in the lives of her clients.

Danica Velez earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Azusa Pacific University. She is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#127529) working under the supervision of Eric T. Weaver, LMFT (#46968).
